[Well, this is miserable.
Oreki rolls about in discomfort on his couch, still in his robe and pajamas. Be it a particularly bad cold or a minor flu, he's miserable; staying home from school due to illness doesn't really have the appeal it did when he was eight, and it's been long enough since the last time he'd been sick for more than a single day that he's forgotten how tiresome it gets.
And how disgusting. The trash can is nearly overflowing with tissues, and he doesn't have the energy to clean up his half-eaten soup or tea. He's still been bathing -- really, he's tempted to spend the entire day in the bath in this weather -- but because he's been sweating from his fever he stinks a bit, too.
Fortunately, no one is going to see him like this except his family, and even they won't be back until late. So he can languish in peace and privacy.]
